Simply Midwest

Spring 2015 |

This project was done in collaboration with The Frankfort Development Trust (Trust) and served as a capstone senior project.

The Trust secured ownership of the circa-1902 Frankfort Grade School building in the fall of 2013. Since that time, the Trust has been exploring how the building can be used for the betterment of the Frankfort community and how that use can protect the building’s historic character and residents’ memoriesof the place.

Programmatic requirements included a proposal for comprehensive use for the building (including resolutions for applicable code issues), basic schematic designs for the entire building, and a focused design solution for one floor.

Construction documents, FFE bid package, and presentation boards were developed in addition to the design presentation.  All materials were presented to the Trust in May 2015 to use as fundraising material for the future of the project.
