Wow wow wow HERE WE GO! As most of you know, I am thrilled to be moving to Oxford, England to serve as an intern for Engineering Ministries International. eMi is a non-profit ministry that exists with the purpose of designing a world of hope for the physically and spiritually poor. If you'd like to know more about their vision and their work, I encourage you to look at www.emiworld.org.
As an intern, I will be joining a design team developing a conceptual master plan for an orphan transition home in Kampala, Uganda. My team will be in Uganda doing initial site analysis and planning. The majority of my time will be spent in the EMI UK office working to see the project through completion. As a Christ-follower desiring to be a professional interior designer, I can think of no better way to start my career than by helping those who have no means to provide for themselves. For that reason, this adventure feels like a precious gift!
If you'd like to follow along on all that is to come, this blog is a great place to hang. I'll share thoughts, happenings and photo documentation of the story as it plays out. Thank you so much for your prayers and support! Here's to sweet new beginnings & prayers answered more creatively than I could have ever imagined!
All the best,
